Dory Hill Cemetery . Black Hawk

Jennie Golden 1841-1921
Born into slavery in Missouri, she made her way to Black Hawk Colorado in 1860.
Jennie was a successful midwife, and the only black woman in the mining town.
She died a free and brave woman.
